Happyfeet beats Execration..

After losing two consecutive months, Happyfeet, currently ranked as the number one team from the league, once again emerges beating defending champions Execration grabbing their third title in this ten-month long competition. Happyfeet as we remember was the first team to have two championship titles in just five months, and now making history winning their third last week.

Happyfeet started really well in the Group Stage having a smooth run in Group E on the first day. The team then met the rising force team of Intramuros which’d made a name for themselves last leg but fell short on Happyfeet and goes home earlier than expected.

Moving to day two, they have played against the amateur team of Duwell, their rival team Mineski Infinity, followed by Cenex Grounds and faced the two-time defending champions of Execration at the winner’s bracket finals. Happyfeet not only sent Execration to loser’s bracket but also beat them again at the finals.

Happyfeet Roster:

Ralph Richard ‘RR‘ PeƱano (Captain)
Julius ‘Julz‘ De Leon
Joshua ‘Owa‘ De La Serna
James Kenneth ‘Wootz‘ Valdez
John ‘Little John‘ Roxas

The season is about to be over and the next leg will determine who goes to Malaysia and who’s going to stay. Will Happyfeet be able to defend their title this October or will Execration regain what they’ve lost? Is the crowd’s favorite team of Mineski already left behind? Let us all find out this month as the season is near to its final moments! Stay tuned!

Dwyane Wade pulls hamstring minutes into the Big Three's debut

By Kelly Dwyer

That didn't take long.

Just 3:17 minutes into LeBron James(notes), Dwyane Wade(notes), and Chris Bosh's(notes) first (albeit preseason) game as members of the Miami Heat, the incumbent member of the Big Three went down with a right hamstring pull. Longtime Heat guard Dwyane Wade limped off the court and would not return, as the Heat romped over the hapless Detroit Pistons by a 105-89 score.

It was easy to see why Wade may have pulled up a little lame. This is early in the preseason, a time when NBA stars and role players alike are hardly in NBA shape, and the first few minutes of the game featured a pell-mell back-and-forth style that seemed more akin to a wild All-Star game than a pairing between a championship contender and also-ran. The action was at a breakneck pace, and though Wade contributed (nailing Miami's first basket of the game on a fallaway jumper, picking two steals and turning the ball over twice), it was still a frustrating night.

Shaquille O'neal a celtic?

Shaquille O'Neal a Celtic?

By Kelly Dwyer

So this is where Shaquille O'Neal(notes) comes to hide.

Actually, he's not hiding at all. He's not flying low to the ground and he's not slumming. Short of zooming back to Los Angeles (hard to do on a burned bridge) or Miami (ditto), he's signed with the most storied franchise this league has. One of the more popular, one of the most prominent and one of two that you last saw playing official hoops a month and a half ago. The Celtics.

Shaq in Boston, sportin' the green. Chasing that ring, we'd assume. Chasing down prominence, again. From Kobe to Wade to LeBron. Now in with a series of like-minded fogies. Boston? I suppose it makes sense.

Kendrick Perkins(notes), Boston's dutiful defensive-minded pivot man, will be out until at least January. The team signed Jermaine O'Neal(notes), but (hopefully) with the knowledge that his 2009-10 rebirth appeared to slide closer toward the spires of flukedom than an actual recharge. Rasheed Wallace(notes) is trade bait, Shelden Williams(notes) is no more. The C's need a center.

And it's almost sad that they're turning to Shaq.

Because O'Neal, at this point, is probably better off working as an entertainer of sorts than someone who should be hedging on Mike Conley(notes) Jr. on some random Wednesday in January.

You saw those games last year. Shaq didn't really look that bad. He looked like ... Shaq. Big guy, one move, two pivots, two hands. To the naked eye, O'Neal looked like a late-30s version of himself. He looked like what you would expect.

It's just that all these raw stats tell you that the Cavs were so, so much better with O'Neal on the pine. That when things weren't Shaq-centric, Cleveland tended to dominate. The easy answer to that? Don't pass Shaq the ball. Don't make him Shaq-centric. To these eyes, Cleveland didn't. And yet, the team's offense stunk with him out there. Tom Haberstroh nailed the best part of it last week:

New York Knicks NEXT TEAM with IMBA PLAYERS

Knicks

Rejected by LeBron, the Knicks will live on a high-wire with Amar'e Stoudemire. Did they just give $100 million to a player with a time-bomb for a knee, who doesn't play defense or rebound with abandon, who was effective only because of Steve Nash and who might be the target of the tabloids if the season turns lousy? Or will Stoudemire help the Knicks get Carmelo Anthony and/or Chris Paul in the next 12 months? Anthony Randolph and Raymond Felton could turn out to be wise buys.

Gumaganda talaga ang NBA ! :)) i cant wait to see it :))

Imba MIAMI HEAT ! This Season.

Thursday, LeBron James decided to join Miami Heat with Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh.

The two time MVP join Miami Heat and leave Cavaliers after 7 seasons of unsuccessful quest in NBA.

It's a huge victory for the Heat, which got commitments from Wade and Bosh on Wednesday. That duo, along with James, formed the upper echelon of the most-celebrated free-agent period in league history. (http://sports.espn.go.com)

Magandang season toh para sa Miami. Sasabayan pa ng back to back CHAMPION ng LAKERS at Former Champion BOSTON. :D
